What I’ve Learned In One Year Of Blogging + A Giveaway

GUYS, Ready Set Liv turns ONE year old today and I am so happy! I want to start off by saying thank you to everyone that has been following this journey for a whole year now and also thank you to anyone new, I truly appreciate all of you. When I started this blog I was really nervous about what people would say about it/me. After a few months of doing it and realizing how happy it made me to write about things I’m passionate about, this was no longer a concern. If someone is judging me for doing something that makes me happy, I’m not the one doing something wrong. I am so beyond happy I stuck with this and didn’t let what people say concern me. I use this blog as a creative outlet to share what I love. Even though their have been people that have judged me their have also been people who have told me how much they love my blog and have told me I’ve inspired them to want to start a blog or youtube channel. If you’re one of those people and still haven’t done it, all I I have to say is go for it, you’ll never regret it. I knew when I first started my blog I wouldn’t get many followers right away and I know not everyone would be interested in reading it but even if ONE person did, that would make me happy. Their have been times I felt my blog wasn’t good enough so I would take a step back and reevaluate why I do this in the first place. Their have also been times I didn’t blog for weeks because I was worried about not being good enough. In the last couple months I’ve learned that it’s not all about doing what everyone likes, it’s about me. I’ve learned it’s okay to be selfish once in a while. Another thing I’ve really struggled with and still do sometimes is comparing myself to other bloggers and also having a fear of other people copying me. I think a lot of girls do this in general. Social media can be so detrimental to our mental health sometimes, there’s always going to be someone with more likes and followers than you. But there will never be anyone like you and I know I have trouble with this very often and it’s something I’ve been working on a lot. Basically I think the biggest lesson this blog has taught me is to stay true to myself, do what makes me happy and not care what others think. When I was thinking about having this blog for a year I really thought about all the people that have supported me and encouraged me. I decided to do a giveaway because I wanted to give back to a follower to show my appreciation for you guys. I decided to do some of my favorite haircare, skincare and makeup products and a few other small goodies. If you’re interested in entering this giveaway it will be posted very soon on my instagram!

I hope you all continue living your life to your fullest extent and follow along as I live mine!
