Slip Silk Pillowcase Review - Ready Set Liv

Slip Silk Pillowcase Review

So with my many Sephora gift cards I received over the holidays, like I do every year, I like to get something that I want but wouldn’t typically spend my own money on. I’ve always wanted to try the Slip silk pillowcase but I couldn’t justify spending 85 dollars on a pillowcase. I posted about it on my instagram and got A LOT of people wanted to know how I like it SO here it is.

Slipsilk™ is specially-commissioned and made to our exacting standards, developed and refined over ten years to provide the ultimate combination of shine, thickness, softness and durability. We use the highest grade (6A) long fibre mulberry silk, with a thickness of 22 momme and enforce the strictest quality guidelines, including non-toxic dyes.”

The packaging is perfect, when I first opened it I thought it was so cute. It also has all the details about it right on the outside of the box which I thought was so handy, especially if you were to buy this in store. I got mine in white just because it would match my bedroom best but it comes in SO many different colors. I love how it looks, I feel super boujee when I see it laying on my bed.

Now for the question you all are looking for, does it really make a difference? I want to start off by saying I’ve never had a silk pillowcase before so I don’t have anything to compare it to besides the usual cotton pillowcase. I definitely think it makes a difference. I personally move around a lot in my sleep so usually when I wake up my hair is a literal nest and so knotty. But with the silk pillowcase this does not happen at all! When I wake up my hair looks how it would when I let it air dry. The other thing I noticed is that I don’t wake up with super dry skin. Since my skin gets super dry this time of year I always moisturize before bed. With a normal pillowcase I usually wake up and my moisturizer is completely absorbed by my skin and pillow case. My skin has also been a lot more clear recently but I did recently switch my skincare routine. So its probably a combination of that and the pillow case. So basically, I would definitely recommend this pillowcase! Like I said, I haven’t tried another silk pillowcase but I LOVE the slip one so far! I would definitely repurchase if ever necessary and think its worth the money. You can buy it HERE!
