Ready Set Liv Apparel

I am SOOO excited. Ready Set Liv Apparel is finally launched and available to shop HERE!! I’ve previously talked about how when I first started my blog I wanted the focus to be around beauty and a little bit of fashion and lifestyle. I quickly got interested in a lot of fashion bloggers. I always loved the idea of having a perfect wardrobe and having clothes that I truly love to wear. A few months ago I was thinking about starting my own clothing store, I started obsessively playing around with designs and drawing things up. I didn’t talk to anyone about it because I was scared of what people would think. I’ve always been the type of person to really worry about what other people say or think about me. Since starting my blog I’ve worked on this issue a lot. I found that I love sharing things I love and I found that a lot of people enjoy reading about what I love, which makes me so happy. I knew I had to just put it out there that I was making a clothing store or I would never do it. I got an overwhelming amount of love for it which makes me so excited and happy.

When I started really thinking about things I wanted to design, I knew I wanted everything to have meaning and be positive. The first thing that came to mind was ‘girl power.’ I recently have had quite a few girls reaching out to me asking for help with their instagrams, telling me I inspired them to make a blog and just telling me they love my blog. That means the WORLD to me and it makes me beyond happy. I love helping and supporting other women, it genuinely puts a smile on my face. Another reason I wanted this design to be my first release is because throughout my teen years and even now i’ve struggled with getting along with other girls. I’ve encountered many of the typical mean girls throughout my life and i’m sure many of you have as well. I think because of this i’ve always wanted to support my girlfriends and girl acquaintances as much as I can. In a world full of mean girls and judgment, I think it’s so important for us to support each other no matter what. Living in a society where culture objectifies women and tears us down, we need to raise each other up. I got the words “GRL PWR” tattooed on me a few months ago to always be reminded of this and to remind myself to be nice to all girls even if they are mean to me. I wanted to share this design for all girls of any age, race, ethnicity, whatever. This design has so many different meanings to me. But in the end I just want to support and be supported by all. I hope you see this design as a way to express your support to the feminist community and your support to all woman.

The second design I did is the ‘Be You’ collection. All my life I struggled with fitting in and comparing myself to others. In this day and age it’s so easy to hop on social media and compare your life or possessions to others. Comparing yourself to others is self-destructive and it’s so hard to get over that thought of competing or comparing. Over the years I’ve learned how important it is to be yourself. I created this design with this in mind. I want to be authentic and always be myself. Even if that means I won’t fit in with a specific group. I hope when you wear this design you’re reminded to be YOU. Only you can be you and that is so amazing, embrace it!
