A Look For Any Skin Tone

While walking through Sephora with my little sister, we noticed all the employees makeup and how well they pulled off such unique looks. The looks they created really inspired us to want to try something different. So we decided we wanted to try something unique and see how it would look on our different skin tones. Anastasia Beverly Hills has some amazing palettes but one of their new palettes really stuck out to us. The Prism Palette has so many different shades that I wouldn’t usually go for. The shade that popped out the most to me was ‘Sphere.’ This shade is a bright electric green, I’ve never used a green eyeshadow so I knew I definitely wanted to use it. I also used the following shades;

Unity- base

Eden- transition

Saturn- outer corner

Lucid- inner cornerProcessed with VSCO with s2 presetProcessed with VSCO with s2 presetThe shades unity, eden and saturn were very pigmented, saturn had a little bit of fallout. For sphere and lucid they weren’t as pigmented as I hoped them to be but I sprayed some MAC fix plus on my brush and it came out better. I did the same eye look on myself and my sister and I thought it came out really cool and it was interesting to see it on different skin tones.Processed with VSCO with s2 presetProcessed with VSCO with s2 presetProcessed with VSCO with s2 preset10DE0B8D-4E67-452C-BC54-1915E434691F.JPGWe also tried the Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in the shade Lightning Dust/Fire Crystal. This highlighter also wasn’t as pigmented as I hoped it would be and was hard to see in photos but it did apply really well and I love the color. We’re both wearing the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Bow n’ Arrow. For the darker skin tones I think it looks really good for an every day nude, for the lighter skin tone I think it looks a little darker and not so much and every day lipstick. I naturally have darker lips so all lipsticks look a little bit darker on me so if you have lighter skin it might not look too dark!

This look has really inspired me to want to do more eyeshadow looks with unique colors. What do you guys think of this color combo?! Leave a comment!

xx,

Liv

  1. Love these looks! I hadn’t wanted Prism previously, but this is making me reconsider.
